Steady and Star's "Evening Star" litter, at 8 weeks old
The pups reached 8 weeks old, with placements waiting for them and a busy week ahead, for going home.
There were so many wonderful requests for a pup during the past 2 months. Each placement was carefully considered, for both the family making the request, and the pup who would thrive in their care. We truly are thankful for all of the interest in this litter!!!
In the past and coming week(s), the pups will graduate off of our tiny farm and into their own adventures, with families who sought out Englsih Shepherds for a reason. It has been a great time of meeting new people, and hearing about the life they envision with trheir puppy.
First, Midnight. She will live at a flower farm near Madison WI, with a young family and a bright future with Emily D.

Gale left next, for a cattle farm in Iowa with a family who has had English Shepherds for over 60 years. Gale may have a litter or two in her future, with Sue K..

Gage left on Sunday, with a long trip ahead of him to North Carolina. He has a life of dog sports ahead of him, including scent work, dock diving, tricks, and whatever Timothy H and Gage find to be exciting.

Also Tuesday, Cole left for Michigan with Mary. His new name will be Rocky, and he will live and work on a Quaker farm as MK's plans for her future in farming take shape.

On Friday, Promise went to her home in southern Illinois, a conservation minded farm which is home to a very rare breed of sheep. Her new name will be Ivy, and she will follow in the pawprints of a previous valued and loved English Shepherd, with Lonnie D.

Vesper left on the heels of Promise/Ivy, Friday afternoon. Gregory L was looking for an active companion and hiking buddy, to live in Wisconsin with him. It sounds like the perfect life for this sweet, gentle girl.

Sunday morning, Lyra's person came for her. After a short visit, and alot of immediate kisses, sweet Lyra left for Missouri with Gina L. There are 4 acres waiting there for a pup, and an active companion role.

Sparky (now Jordy) also left on Sunday afternoon, for western Wisconsin. He'll have a young family to grow up with, and an active companion role with experienced English Shepherd people.

That brings us to Beacon and Sparky, who both have placements or potential placements, and will be here with us for another week or two. Sable will be headed to Ohio when his family is home from an extended vacation.

Beacon is finishing a second round of antibiotics, and awaiting a clean bill of health, before heading to his new home.
