The girls: Tara, Gale, Vesper, Promise, Lyra, and Midnight

The pups are changing, almost hour by hour. Trundling became walking, gumming became play fighting, tiny yips are taking shape to be bratty barks, howls, and fierce baby growls.

Here are the girls

Tara, first born. A lovely shaded sable, with an independent first-born type personality.

Our third born pup is Gale. She makes us laugh with her noisy antics. Even for the photo -op, she was trying out howls and yowls, very intent on making an impression.

The next girl, born 6th, is Vesper. She was the first shaded sable to be born, and is easy to pick out in the line up. A bit spunky, able to hold her own against some of the larger pups in the litter.

The fourth female, 7th born, Promise. She is a larger female, with a hickory brown shade to her dark coat. She will likely be "seal" rather than black. (Star their mama, is "seal" and white.)

At spot #9, Lyra. At this point, Lyra is the smallest of the litter. She makes up for it in energy and sassiness. Very dark, probably black rather than seal, with very minimal white.

The last pup in our litter, and the last female. Born at midnight, it seemed fitting that this dark pup also have the litter name of "Midnight". She has no white on her back paws, which makes her easy to identify when the pups are all nursing and only tails and back ends are visible. :)

Six beauties! All will receive nail trims, as it's clear that those little nails need a bit of attention. We watch them and handle the pups daily, so as to be well acquainted with each emerging personality.

Tune in later, for the update on the boys!
